Bread and angels

Filming so that memory emerges A place for remembrance cannot exist if we do not animate it with our presence and invest it with our affect and imagination. My film-making approach consists in going to search for a remembrance place in Casablanca, the cemetery harboring the victims of the « bread revolt » of June 1981, built in 2011 but still closed. Outside of this site nothing is legible. There is no indication as to what it represents or its history.
