Atanas Burov is a well-known Bulgarian financier, philanthropist, diplomat and politician. He is considered one of the most influential figures in Bulgarian political life in the first half of the 20th century, and because of his political speeches and the introduction of modern European practices for his time on Bulgarian soil, he is called the "ideologist of the Bulgarian bourgeoisie".
