The main theme of the documentary is the youth protest, which presents the main moments: from the young Berliners' revolt against the publisher Springer, owner of a chain of newspapers, to the protest of the university students of Berkeley "California"; from the events of "May '68" in Paris to the battle between police and students at Valle Giulia in Rome. Other parts of the film, on the other hand, concern certain different youth attitudes of refusal or nonconformity: the Prague Spring; hashish smokers in the Netherlands,the porn shop in Copenhagen.
