La Academia

La Academia is the story of Marcel Castillo, the best football player and idol of the Club Deportivo Municipal of Peru, whos career and family is destroyed by Mr. Ormeño. Ormeño a club member, intends to buy the club at a very low price, and will do everything in his power to achieve his goal. He laces Marcels drink with a drug so that his blood tests positive in the anti-doping test, that way Marcel is dropped from the team. The plan being that without its star player, the team loses many games, thus driving down the price on the team for Ormeño to purchase. Due to continued press scrutiny, and his public humiliation, Marcel not knowing what really happened travels to America to start a new life as any immigrant. Once in the U.S. he meets Daniela, a cute young pharmaceutical chemist, who comforts him and helps him discover whos behind his demise. Once they put all the pieces together, they return to Peru in order to rescue his team and set the record straight.
