Makalu

Located in northeastern Nepal on the Himalayan range, Makalu is one of the highest peaks on the planet. The rainforest, monsoon, the Himalayan landscape, snow, seracs, wind and avalanches serve as a background for what would be a group portrait. 4 trekkers accompany the 5 mountaineers to the base camp at 5,500 meters above sea level on the slopes of Makalu. The monsoon is raging and the leeches are harassing us.
