Summer 1988. Following a secret fatwa from Ayatollah Khomeini, more than five thousand political prisoners are executed. Summer and fall 2012: survivors and families of victims testify to the tragedies experienced on an international scale. During the 1980s, tens of thousands of political prisoners were tortured and liquidated by the Islamists in power in Iran since 1979. After the establishment of a Truth Commission in London in June 2012, which heard 85 testimonies, a three-day session of the Tribunal for Iran took place in The Hague in November.
