A criminal defense lawyer, whose biological father is a kidnapper and stepfather a police detective, crosses paths with a senior judge who lost his wife and child to an act of revenge years ago, and a charismatic, enigmatic legal elite who exploits human nature while navigating the grey areas of the law. These three lonely strangers engage in a high-stakes battle of wits amidst a complex criminal defense case; yet, as they clash, they find a growing mutual understanding, becoming rivals who are nonetheless like family.
